A fishing lodge on Alaska's Kenai peninsula was in need of a logo. They needed something clean and elegant that could be used for a wide range of purposes, from letterheads to hats and T-shirts.

A common mistake, esecially with outdoors oriented businesses, is to create a logo that is more of an illustration than symbol. Such treatements don't scale very well.

The graphical element in this logo consists of a single sweeping line that evokes not only the obivous tree but the stylized S of Sprucewood while also being suggestive of a winding river.
